Reporting to the Group Managing Director, the Chief Operating Officer of OBEK Group will oversee a national operations team of approximately 75+ employees spread throughout the Nigeria and growing into United States of America. The COO will provide leadership, management, and vision to ensure that the company delivers exceptional operational outcomes in the areas of EPCICM for oil and gas, petrochemical and energy, agriculture, and civil construction to meet agreed upon growth objectives.

ORGANISATIONAL MANDATE
- Drive quality and profitability to meet or exceed Group objectives
- Create clarity of roles and full accountability for performance of the business in terms of top line growth and efficiency (earnings) that are sufficiently predictive to enable near real-time intervention into problem areas
- Assess organizational structure and recommend changes for optimization and efficiency
- Develop appropriate KPI’s to measure and predict performance top line growth, efficiency, etc.
- Partner with senior leadership team to evaluate current strategies of organization to ensure continued growth and success
- Continually drive innovation within operations
- Champion the recruiting, selecting, orientating, training, coaching and disciplining of the operations team as needed
- Champion the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of organizational management protocols, practices, and tools
- Work with Group MD to always update the Group Infrastructure as part of strategy to make the
Group the leading organization in every category that the Group choose to play a role

CHIEF OPERATION OFFICER
- Develop Strategy in alignment with the Group MD to take the Group to preminent position in all areas of its afairs

Academic and Professional: A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Relevant professional certification e.g., PMI PMP
- 10+ years proven Design & Construction experience.
- Proven experience in finance management.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong leadership qualities & Compliance oriented.
- Proficiency with current project planning, task management, engineering design, and work park management solutions.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in Engineering, Construction, and
Project Management.
